Things that Make me Happy

1. The sun! I love to be outside or in a tanning bed, it's the only kind of therapy I'll ever need.
2. Shopping. There is no problem too big that a little retail therapy can't fix.
3. Anything that makes Brynn smile.
4. Grey's Anatomy. TV seriously doesn't get any better than that.
5. Driving. I have a car obsession and a need for speed.
6. Snow on christmas morning. It's not christmas without it!
7. Talking. I'll talk to anyone anytime and I'm pretty sure I was a therapist in a past life.
8. Music. I love music of all kinds. Brynn loves music too but mostly rap music. I was so worried about her becoming a redneck down south that now she thinks she's black.
9. Being out of the house. I love to be outside and I hate sitting doing nothing. That could be the attention deficit disorder talking...

10. Traveling. I love to visit new places, preferrably on a beach or any big city or Portland because Michele is there!
11. My family, immidiate and extended. We are more than a little disfunctional but that's what makes us us:)

Christmas Time

I have to explain the santa picture. Brynn really does actually like him!...... as long as he doesn't touch her. She will wave and reach for him and give him fave and say "santa's nice" but the second I put her on his lap he loses it. Every kid needs at least one of these pictures!

This year we went to my most favorite place for christmas, Utah of course!! Brynn was completely spoiled like usual but Tim and I didn't do so bad ourselves. Last year we stayed in Louisiana with my family so this year it was Tim's families turn so we were in Moab for 5 days. You might be asking yourself what does someone do in Moab for 5 days in December?? I'll tell you..... not a whole lot! We did get to go to the mall in Grand Junction Colorado and see Carla's mom and dad so that was nice. Tim went hunting a few times but never found anything, unless you count the turkeys..... long story. It was nice to get out of Louisiana but do you ever feel like you need a vacation after a vacation? That's how this was. Brynn was sick alot of the trip, (I forgot to mention in my opening post that even though I'm happier to be working Brynn has been sick non-stop for the past 4 months and has had everything in the book at least twice.) She had an ear infection the day we got into town and threw up 5 times christmas day. Fun had by all! We really were spoiled though. My parents and Tim's parents went in on a tv for Tim and a laptop for me and that's how I am able to express my unbiased opinions to all of you today! Brynn got her own little laptop, teddy ruxpin, a play camera, the shrek trilogy, babies, bags for camping and going to grandmas, a little tykes car AND a play kitchen. She also got a basketball hoop and 2 jerseys! So spoiled! That's what happens when she's the only grandchild and has 10 aunts. She's so loved it's a little rediculous but I couldn't ask for anything more.

First Time

So I had never really heard of blogging until my friend Callee and to me it appears to be a public family journal. As you all know my own little family has been having more than it's fair share of issues so I decided why not share it with the rest of y'all! I might even disclose a little information about my immidiate family but then they wouldn't be allowed to read this! Who doesn't love a little drama??:) All joking aside the past 15 months have been the hardest of my life hands down. Quitting a job I loved, leaving behind friends and family, becoming a stay at home mom, getting married and moving 2000 across the country is not my idea of fun. One thing I learned on maternity leave is that I do not like to stay at home. I love my Brynlee but when it comes to being a stay at home mom I am not cut out for that. As you all know I am very social and I talk alot so when there are no adults around to have adult conversations with I pretty much lose my mind. I'd be lying if I said that didn't happen more than once during the past year! Because of that, I started working this September for the local hospital billing office. I love the people I work with and it has made Louisiana a little easier to deal with. I do miss being home with Brynn but I needed to do this at least temporarily for sanity purposes.:)
